Tax Manager - Real Estate

Job Location: Washington DC (Open to Remote)

Salary: $125k - $175k

Requirements: CPA + Real Estate Tax Exp. Be located in the EST/CST/MST time zones.

Position Overview
The Tax Manager - Real Estate will oversee the tax compliance and advisory services for our real estate clients. This role involves managing tax planning, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic advice to optimize tax positions while minimizing liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee tax compliance for real estate clients including partnerships and corporations.
  • Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for real estate entities.
  • Provide tax planning and consulting services, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide insights on tax implications of real estate transactions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and review of their work.

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, specifically in the real estate sector.
  • Strong experience in reviewing tax returns and compliance for real estate entities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
