Headquartered in Houston, Texas we are looking for someone out of our Ponca,City, Oklahoma location.  We specialize in our soot/graphite! We have made our way to over 15 countries and are continuing to grow and expand all over the world! We service markets in industrial rubber, tire rubber, and any specialty carbon!

Position Overview
The Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The superintendent will lead a team, optimize production workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall productivity and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Implement process optimization strategies to improve production efficiency.
  • Manage production planning activities to meet customer demands and timelines.
  • Lead and mentor production staff to foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and innovations.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize production and reduce waste.
  • Lead project management initiatives for process enhancement and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proven experience in safety compliance and regulatory standards within the industry.
  • Excellent team leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with quality control methodologies and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Experience with inventory management and continuous improvement initiatives.
