Payroll Clerk
Position Overview
The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing payroll tasks to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a solid understanding of tax regulations and payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll for all employees (~25) on a bi-weekly basis
Get programs in place, as everything has been done manually
Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry in payroll software
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements Manage time and attendance systems to track employee hours accurately
Assist in the administration of employee benefits and deductions
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
Proven experience in payroll processing or a related role
Familiarity with tax regulations and payroll best practices
Proficient in payroll software and time and attendance systems
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities
Good communication skills for addressing employee inquiries
