Legal Assistant (Litigation)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to attorneys in various stages of litigation, particularly in employment law cases. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring all legal documents are prepared accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents related to litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research on employment law topics, including wrongful termination and wage and hour issues.
  • Manage and organize case files, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation.
  • Draft correspondence and pleadings as required by attorneys.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information and documentation for cases.
  • Prepare trial binders and assist in trial preparation and logistics.
  • File documents with the court and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in litigation with a focus on employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research techniques and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
