Job Title: Director of Electrical Estimating

Location: Denver, CO on-site

Salary Range: $150k-$175k depending on experience

Requirements: Bachelors in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related field, 7+ years experience in Electrical Estimating, 4+ years in a Leadership or management role

Position Overview
The Director of Electrical Estimating will lead and oversee the estimating department, ensuring accurate and timely estimates for electrical construction projects. This role is pivotal in managing project costs and fostering a high-performing team dedicated to delivering competitive bids and enhancing client satisfaction. This is a role where client interaction will take place often, and as an abassodor to the department management team, we're looking for a proven leader not just in the technical skills arena, but also someone confortable with client interaction, and being one of the representatives of the company

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electrical estimating team (about 3 estimators and growing) providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Develop and implement estimating strategies that align with company goals and client needs.
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with other Executive roles, project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for accurate bidding.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimates, proposals, and bid submissions for various projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and contracting specifications in all estimates.
  • Utilize software tools such as Accubid and Procore for efficient estimating and project management.
  • Maintain strong client communication to understand their requirements and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years proven experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on multifamily projects, residental & commercial 
  • 4+ years in Team leadership or a Management & Mentorship role
  • Strong project management and construction management skills background experience and knowledge with Multifamily residential, or Commercial Construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Estimating software (e.g., Accubid).
  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills
  • Ability to conduct budgeting, cost analysis, and contract negotiation effectively.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and proposal development processes.
